Making homemade bread is a great everyday skill and a party piece that impresses your family and friends! Whether you’ve tried it before or it’s a whole new avenue for you, this course will teach you the basic recipes and techniques for making delicious homemade bread and give you the confidence to experiment further with bread making at home. The aim of this course is to learn how to produce a variety of stylish breads. You will concentrate on the basic techniques of making breads and dough. You will be making a variety of different breads for you to take home. Response2
This course is suitable for all abilities, from beginners to those with more knowledge and experience of cooking. Less experienced or less confident cooks may be encouraged to limit the number of dishes they prepare.

This course is suitable for vegetarians. If you are concerned about any of the ingredients used, the tutor will always be able to suggest appropriate alternatives.

As our courses are taught in English, please contact us if you have any concerns about your level of English.

The course fees do NOT include the cost of ingredients, and you are responsible for bringing your own ingredients to lessons.

You will need to bring all the ingredients set out in the Ingredients list, which will be sent out 1 week before the start of your course.
Bring suitable containers to take food home in.
Please bring an apron, and tea-towels.
Bring a pen, and your reading glasses (if you use them), so that you can read and make notes about the recipes.

It is important to wear clothes and footwear suitable for a busy, hot kitchen.

If you enjoy your bread making course, you could progress to our Artisan Breadmaking course, which will challenge you a little further, with different techniques and skills.

Following this course you could progress on to other baking courses offered at the Centre, all enjoyable, informative and creative. We have a range of cookery and baking courses, so take a look at the brochure or online to see what else is available.
